March 2020 Coronovirus Update
Following the advice of the Government, it is currently business as usual at Go Swimming. Our swimming lessons are on.
We are watching and following the advice of the Government closely. We understand that there is a long-term, measured plan in place to limit the spread of Covid-19. We are understand that we are all trying and go about our daily lives in as normal a fashion as possible given the circumstances.
We have made some changes at Go Swimming in light of Government recommendations. We have implemented additional cleaning, as well as social distancing. We do not have any more than 100 people in our facility at any one time.
As a community, it's important that we support each other in this challenging time, and follow the advice of the professionals.
We believe that swimming offers a low-risk activity, particularly due to the highly sanitised nature of the water. No viruses can be transmitted in chlorinated water.
Maintaining safe activity, and normality for our children in particular, is important to us, if this response is to be long-term and sustainable.
At Go Swimming (and Lords in Subiaco) we are:
· Thoroughly cleaning multiple times a day.
· Sanitising our surfaces and equipment.
· Avoiding physical contact in our lessons as much as is practical.
· Communicating with our instructors about illness and social distancing.
· Asking our customers to avoid swimming if unwell.
The current advice of the Government is to keep schools open, and we will continue to follow this advice.
We hope to see you at the pool, it is a difficult time for us, and we are staying positive. This will pass.
