8 years to 13 years
60 minute classes
Monday and Tuesday 5.30pm
Sharks squad swimmers attend 2 or 3 sessions per week. The squad is a group of young swimmers aged 9 years to 12 years who are swimming to become stronger and safer swimmers. This is a great squad for kids looking to swim well at surf club, water polo or school competitions. A Sharks swimmer can also be very competitive at WA State level in this squad by consistently attending two or three sessions per week. Swimmers will swim up to 1500 metres in each 45 minute training session with a mix of all swimming strokes and skills. Swimmers are coached by a swimming coach on the side of the pool.
Consider Two Times a Week
Depending on how far you want to take your child’s swimming, and on how your child feels about swimming, we do recommend increasing your child’s attendance to two sessions per week. This will greatly improve your child’s swimming strength and endurance.
How Long Will My Child Be in the Sharks Squad?
Sharks is a great squad and swimmers who attend sessions consistently will develop into safe and strong swimmers. From the Sharks squad swimmers can choose a health and fitness approach to their swimming, or choose to follow a competitive swimming path.
